Hi !
Does anybody know which standard filter is used to reduce the data after
a 2-dim DCT in the transform domain?
I am looking for a widely used filter. In many books I only found
the description of many possibilities but no standard method
was mentioned. I compute a 16x16 two-dim DCT for a 256 grayscale
image and want to reduce the amount of data from 8BPP to 2BPP, 1BPP
or even 0.5BPP.
Is there any ISO-Standard for doing so??

Thanks a lot

Bye
Mathias
