I am trying to build a telephone that is completely controlled by voice
commands. It is also necessary that there be some limited voice synthesis
capability for the verification of phone numbers before they are dialled.

I'm looking for recommendations for speech recognition chips with a
capability of around 20 words (isolated), and preferably speaker
independant. In reading speech.FAQ, I came across the HM2007 (by the Summa
Group) but am not sure that it's the right one for this project. Are there
any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
