You might try using the Carnegie Mellon 100k word dictionary, now in its second
revision. It can be retrieved as follows:

ftp ftp.cs.cmu.edu      [128.2.206.173]
[login as anonymous]
cd project/fgdata/dict/

The following files should be retrieved:

README
cmudict.0.2.Z (compressed)
cmulex.0.1.Z (compressed)
phoneset.0.1
