Does anybody have the experience of using CELP 3.2a whcih can be ftped from
super.org:/pub/celp_3.2a.tar.Z?

I tried to compress a speech file using the following command :
celp -i infile.spd -o outfile -l logfile
Then the following command was used to reconstruct the original signal :
celp -c outfile.chan -o result.
When the file result.spd was copied to result.l16 and played back, the
speech signal is no longer intelligible.

Appreciate if somebody could tell me about my mistake. I can be reached at
email cpuayeng@trantor.dso.gov.sg.
