This year I will be undertaking a research project in word spotting.

Help on any of the following would be much appreciated.

*	State of the art - references, papers etc.,
*	Background reading and intro to DSP,
*	Info on researchers in the field,
*	Coping with frequency and time warping,
*	Pointers to existing software and source.
