Hello again all,
I have recently been trying to find out about various PD software availability
for the Sparc architecture (IPCs, IPXs, Sparc 1+s, or Sparc 2s). I have found
two programs that I have compiled and listened to, and I was really not to
impressed with the produced voice quality. -Not to in any way demean the authors,
because I am sure that they both required much effort. The two were the Brown U.
system "scat" and the Klatt system "gen". Does anyone know of any other PD synths
that are more natural sounding (particularly ones that would in some way "smooth"
phoneme transitions - giving better between phoneme coarticulation effects)? Or
does anyone know of where I might be able to get some PD "fixes" to the above
two synths to incorporate this inter-phoneme "smoothing" effect? Thanks in
advance.
