Dear Paal Skjente

I am a student at University of Copenhagen at the Institute of Computer
Science, and I have recently been involved in a project on recognition of
musical instruments from their sounds using a simple backpropagation
neural network on the (time, frequency, amplitude) domain. The instruments,
we used, were: a flute, a guitar and a piano. The work resultet in a 30 pages
technical report and a article for the DSAGM conference the 25. August 1993.
(DSAGM = Dansk Selskab for Automatisk Genkendelse af Moenstre
= Danish Society of Automatic Pattern Recognition)
The article in TEX format can be obtained by writing to me. I can also
reproduce the technical report, but not quite as easily.

Good hunting
