not likely, except maybe power transistors in the horizontal occilators,
... As for disarming the shock potential, suggest using the
following steps I always do..

Get a piece of wire with bare ends (anything bigger than 20-guage)
or a piece of wire with alligator clips on both ends.. Clip one end or
wrap one end around the metal frame which holds the CRT in place.
the other, put on the metal of a flat screwdriver. (Phillips are not good
for poking under close edges.) Using ONLY ONE HAND on the handle, (Old Ham-
Radio suggestion, stick your free hand in your pocket, and KEEP IT THERE!)
carefully poke the screwdriver under the insulating cap of the flyback
transformer anode. (the heavy wire that usually plugs into the side of the
CRT back.) If there is any residual charge, it will dump through the
screwdriver to the frame GND. still holding the handle, remove the screw
-driver, and bring it length-wise (length parallel) across the back of the
board or plug on the back of the CRT's neck. Still keeping the free hand
in your pocket, drop the screw driver, and run the back of your hand across
the face of the CRT. If you still feel ANY static (The hair on your
hand back will stand-on end, towards the CRT face.) there's still a charge
so pick-up the screwdriver again, and go through the steps again.
Once you feel absolutely no more static on the front, it's pretty well
discharged, and safe.. PROVIDED... You remembered to unplug it. %-}

I've gotten myself kicked a few times, tinkering with Televisions..
Worse I ever did, was I had pulled a dampener tube in an old tube-type TV,
out of it's plug.. Everything was unplugged, but when i went to reach in,
and pull the remaining plug, an arc jumped the three middle fingers and thumb
of my right hand. To quote John Aston's character of 'Buddy' Ryan,
(Night Court) 'But I'm Feeling much better now!' BZZZTTTT!!!!
