The Victormaxx Stuntmaster is a single LCD backlit display that is strapped
to your head. I believe the resolution is 240x86 in color.
I have hacked this device apart - and for $69, it is a pretty good buy.
By rewiring the pins or cutting the cable, you can run NTSC video and
stereo audio right to the device.

I bought a Game Zapper VGA-NTSC converter and made myself a very cheap
PC Head Mount Display for virtual reality.

As far as tracking goes, the Stuntmaster has a 10K pot that is mounted to
the right side of the device. A stick is fed through a tube and the end is
clipped to your shoulder. By moving your head left and right, the resistance
is changed. I removed this and replaced it with a 100K pot which is then
run to the joystick port.

The Stuntmaster has options for outputting in Sega or Nintendo format.

This device runs pretty great with REND386 - a virtual world renderer created
by Dave Stampe and Bernie Roehl <- forgive me if the spelling is wrong.

I've done quite a bit of hacking with this VR headset. For more info,
drop me some email or I may decide to put the plans up on my homepage.
