ROBOTS FOR AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIES, the 1995 national conference of the
Australian Robot Association, will be held in Melbourne from 5 to 7 July
1995. The keynote speakers are Mr Brian Carlisle, Chief Executive Officer
of Adept Technology Inc., the largest US manufacturer of robots, who will
speak on ROBOTICS: PROVEN AND EMERGING APPLICATIONS; Dr Hugh Durrant-Whyte
of the University of Oxford and Firefly Limited who will speak on ROBOTICS
IN CARGO HANDLING; Prof. Aarne Halme of the University of Helsinki, a
specialist in outdoor mobile robots for use in applications such as forestry;
and Prof. Ken Waldron of Ohio State University, who will speak on walking
