Michael,

I have been able to get it to run, however, the image that comes back
is really bad. You are right in your assesment of the documentation.
The pin out of the chip is about the only thing correct in the manual.

Things that are wrong or absent from the manual are:
	1. In order to get an image back you need to have the SYNCI pin
	    low.
	2. In manual exposure you need to have the SYNCI pin high.
	3. The values of pins USR, VB1, VRT, VCL, and BCK are wrong.
I don't know what the values should be, however, I was able
to get some values that somewhat work. The values are:
	    	PIN	Voltage(Volts)
		VRT	4.00
		VCL	1.59
		VB1	2.50
		BCK	2.98
		USR	2.51
	4. Be sure to have a 1Meg resistor and a 47pF cap. from ground to
CLKO(the other resistor and caps. are not necessary).

If you figure something out or are able to get it running please post it
or email me at jfischer@cs.umn.edu.
