                  ENGINEERING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Sarcos Research Corporation designs and builds some of the most exciting
machines imaginable. We take on technical challenges that are right at the
leading edge, and which require the combined talents of exceptionally creative
and talented individuals to deliver a successful and innovative product... and
we deliver over and over again, in product areas that are both astonishingly
diverse, and incredibly fun to work in:
 o entertainment robots,
o real-time programming/animation of robotic figures and complex virtual
     models,
 o master/slave teleoperated robots,
o force-reflective and position-mastered human interfaces to virtual worlds,
o servovalve development to address the unique needs of high performance
     robotic systems,
o man magnifiers and dexterous manipulators, and
o many other seemingly unrelated state-of the-art activities, like:
-a wide array of silicon chip-based, multiplexed, networked sensors where
we design the circuits, the algorithms, the chips, and finally the
       sensor packages,
-advanced medical devices to facilitate high dexterity key-hole surgery,
remote and timed drug delivery, controlled I.V. infusion,
-remote monitoring systems worn by high risk patients that sense vital
signs, geolocation, and broadcast critical information to hospitals
using the latest radio transmitter technologies, and
     -the list goes on.

We are looking for the highest caliber individuals to join us while we continue
to both grow in our existing markets, and expand into new ones. We want people
who are highly motivated "over-achievers", who spend their spare time designing
and building things because that's what they delight in doing.

The following positions are open to qualified people who enjoy designing high-
tech, state-of-the-art, machines that are made up of highly complex
electromechanical assemblies of actuators, sensors, valves, controllers, and
interfaces. All of these positions provide for possibility of substantial
professional growth both technically and in project management.

Electrical Engineer:

Experience in analog and digital design; including low level signal
conditioning; data acquisition, digital signal processing, and micro-controller
design. Responsibilities/activities include: conceptual design, computer
simulations, prototyping, PCB design, implementation, and production.

Mechanical Design Engineer:

Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electric servo-system design, stress
analysis, dynamic systems modeling, servo mechanisms, and electromechanical
design. Responsibilities/activities include: conceptual design, CAD,
prototyping, and production.

Software Engineer:

Experience in real-time programming with broad-level processors(M680x0), C/C++
and Unix. Experience with digital control applied to high performance servo-
hydraulics, VME/VxWorks/RISC is desirable. Robotics, graphics/virtual reality
and multiprocessing experience are considered a definite plus.
Responsibilities/activities include: conceptual design, prototyping, and
production.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a B.S. degree and at least two
years of experience.

Sarcos offers an excellent salary and benefits package with many opportunities
for growth in a very diversified and growing organization.
