I am in a computer sciences class (grade 12), and as a class
project, we must design and build a simple robot. It must be remotely
controlled. This has raised some questions...
-Are there commertial products availiable for digital radio communication
over 500 feet, from one RS-232 on one computer (386 based) to another
RS-232 on another.
-Are there any frequency broadcasting limitations? Is it illegal to
transmit on certain frequencies?

We are looking for a transfer rate equal to anywhere from 2400 baud to
9600 baud. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.
