I am currently trying to input a digital 8-bit signal into my
parallel printer port on my PC (24 pin).
However the port does not seem to accept any input unless the
current is >130mA which is far too large.
I thought it possible to input to the port with as little as
20mA but this does not seem so!?
Can anybody give me an answer or do I have to by an additional
card specifically for I/O?
        I am using LPT1.

Please reply to the newsgroup or

        Thanks
