Dear Blah,
I see your smiley, but I'm not sure what you meant. By the way, I like your
punctuation!!!! I shall, for purposes of entertainment assume you
disagree?:

So now I'm supposing that you haven't ever noted the proliferation of
electronics magazine articles by people who hand you the design, and a BBS
to obtain their software from, and then still are apparently making enough
money selling bare boards, kits, programmed doo-hickeys, even though they tell
you how to do it yourself, or did last year (obtain at library!), and as
well are selling assembled and tested devices and advertising them in the
article, for the hobbyist who likes to play with things already assembled
and tested! Are you KIDDDING ME??!!!! I think the phobia second in line
after the fear of public speaking is that of assembling something from mere
information!!! People are mostly weenies and you know it! LOTS of people
would buy up his assemblies or even totally A & T units with case!! If he
wished to perfect his design and formally manufacture them for industry or
"professional use" they would be obscure, he'd sell very few of them for
less profit overall, and his overhead and headaches would be daunting!
So I'm not so sure he'd be as well regarded as a lot of the older and
respected names at low end electronics who seem to be much happier and have
a shorter "work" week, IF you even want to call it that!
