That's quite harsh. He does mention that the components derive from a sale
on this very net!!!

I do NOT see that he is offering his services on thenet in any
disreputable fashion to this group!! Many here offer bare boards, used
motors and chips and books. Many manufacture bare boards and offer them for
group purchase even!! This is WELCOMED here!!!

-----------------------------
NO, it doesn't! No one can find ANYTHING there!!!
Unless YOU know something about this person that *I* and others DON'T, I'd
not be so hasty if I were you. Things that people WANT on this newsgroup
have always been welcomed. If he is a manufacturer of these and is duping
people with high prices, that could be a valid complaint, but the
netiquette caveat against advertising merchandise is avoided if to a special
interest group and IS a WELL ESTABLISHED practice on virtually every group
that would involve items of interest to sell!!

You really MUST understand here. *I* am usually one of the first to write
to a genuine marketeer's sysadmin and ask for action against them for
commercialism!!! But this is NOT the case here! He is not representing
himself as a business, he is only selling off surplus from his private
purchase. Garage sales that are apropos to the group are welcomed here!
So are yours!! Sounds as though you may be a newbie with a defensive slant
about netiquette, which is better than to be ultra-tolerant! But still,
this place also functions as a source for this robotics hobby and the
boards he is discussing are used in robotics courses at MIT!!! They are
quite regular fare on the net and should NOT be interfered with. I think
that few to none of us would say the current level of this is excessive!!
Please consider your post and perhaps watch and learn for a while before
posting a flame for commercialism against a simple "yard sale" and an
appropriate one!!
