Greetings,

I have a UMI RT100 SCARA but I have been asked to submit a costing on an
anthropomorphic robot by tomorrow.

The budget is about 5,000 to 15,000 sterling with educational discount.
The requirements are

1) 6 dof.
2) Communication and command from Solaris or IRIX.
3) Interface control: cartesian and joint level
                      angluar acceleration and torque level
4) Accuracy sub mm.
5) A few grippers.
6) Gripper payloads of a few kg.
4) Aesthetics - not too small,
rounded links, the more chrome the better.

If there is a dextrous, ie. 7 dof, manipulator satisfying most of the
above requirements, even better although this seems unlikey given the
small budget. Perhaps someone's got a manipulator they would sell
second hand.

Any pointers welcome.
