Thanks, I'll try that. In the worst case I can use and ohm-meter and
check connector pins with respect to the controller chip.
I already found that the backlight works on about 5V (yellow leds).

I found these bords in an "electronics cemetery". Much used-old
or broken equipment but sometimed I can find new, unused stuff which
sells very cheap.

The two displays which I bought came in pieces of equipment which include
some other stuff (68302 cpu, memory, push-button switches and leds, no box
or power supplies, just a metal frame and front panel. I got them for
25 NIS each. That equipment was never used. I also got in the same occasion
two 12V fans for 10 NIS each.
They also had the same 40x4 displays which were disassembled from some
equipment for 10 NIS each. 3.05 NIS == $1 (US).

I would like to try to do something with the 68302 CPU boards, They
are all SMT technology except for the two ROMs which are in PLCC
sockets. They are are pigi-backed on the main bords with 2x64pin connectors.
their size is about 4"x5". I hope to find some documentation for these boards.
