RE: Albert Yale (matirx) question about 9 volt batteries.

The low-cost (cheap) 9 volt batteries are good for about 10mA
or so.  Much more than 10Ma and they degrade pretty rapidly.
However, the composition of the cells affect the current
density such as alkaline, zinc-carbon, etc.  The AA batteries
are capable of much more current.  They're good for a few
hundred mA while a heavy duty NiCad can supply about 800 mA.
The best bet is to contact battery manufactures for capacities
of specific types of batteries.
