My $0.02...

I'm FOR spliting comp.robotics into other groups like comp.robotics.beginners
for example. Because when us, hobbyist/beginners, ask simple or stupid(?)
questions (for a professional), we sometimes get flamed and are told to go
back to school! Adleast that's what happened to me a few times. I'm a
comp.sci student with little background in robotics and electronics, when i
was asking questions about my project some people though it would be more
helpfull to just tell me to get an EE degree than helping me. I think that's
rude. I'm a programmer, not an EE. With a comp.robotics.beginners, beginners
won't be intimidated by robotics/electronics professionals with attitudes.
And professional who (realy) wish to help us would of course be very
welcomed.
