I guess you could scan sideways... heheh... but that's not my problem, i
wish to use it to read barcodes on disk labels since i'm trying to organize
my hundreds and hundreds of disk. I though barcoding my disk in a database 
program would be a fast and easy way to organize it all. 


I _am_ a programmer, but patern recognition isn't my field, not to mention i
don't even know the code behind bar codes. any help would be apreciated.
