My thesis supervisor has done some research in the area of tactile and
force feedback for computer graphics applications. His name is Dr. Colin Ware,
and can be reached at cware@unb.ca  . His specialty is in the area of
human-computer interaction. The device that they developed may not be what you
are looking for, but I am sure that he can locate some sources of information
(journals, papers, ... etc) that he could recommend. 

He tends to be quite busy, so an in-depth description of what you are looking
for, and what you have found so far may be your best bet.
