Well, I have a problem that I need your help with.

I stopped by the local junkstore (Dexis for the locals) and I got a
Houston Insturment DMP-29 flat bed plotter for $25.00

I was planning on tearing out the pen loader/unloader for an artist
robot that I am building and I ran into a hitch.

The stupid thing works.

Now I know that I can just ignore that fact and just tear into it
anyway, but I'd like to know a little bit more about it now that I
know it still has life.

It has two Z80s in it. It looks like it was built around the end
of 1984 by the date codes on the chips.

It responds to front panel commands, and I would like to know how to
talk to it over the RS232 port.

Does anyone have a copy of the manual for this guy?

Does anyone know what the ASCII commands are?
(Maybe like a HP?)

If I can't get any info, it's hacksaw city for the thing.

(Please send Email as well as a post incase I miss something.)
