      It's considered bad form to post to groups you don't read.

      First, those things aren't "steppers".  They're servomotors.
The three wires are power (+5 is OK), ground, and "control".  The
control signal is 0.5ms to 1.5ms on, 13ms or so off.  The ON time
controls the position; the OFF time isn't that critical.  The control
signal is a CMOS 5V level.  The power can reach an amp or more for bigger
servos, and the device generates brush noise on its power line which may
require filtering and regulation.
