I am building a robot arm using stepper motors and pulleys for
use in a display project.

Is anyone doing or has anyone done anything similar?

I can't seem to find the right combination of motors, power, and
controllers. The steppers seem to lack the power to do the
lifting I need (constant 10 lbs limit). Most of my movement is
relatively short vertical and horizontal moves.

I would appreciate any help with the motors, control circuits,
pulleys, or books which detail such a project.

Thanks. EMAIL - hgibson@vdoe386.vak12ed.edu
