That's how they do it! Photodiodes and their own LED's to light the path
work better and faster though. Those Cadmium Sulfide photoresistors are a
little slow to respond, depending on the light and the speed you need.
Just use an array of two or three of them for line following. If it doesn't
work, change the current to make it work with changes in the resistors in
the circuits. Use a voltmeter to find out whether it was achieving logic
levels as needed!
