Graham, are you working on CAN for an automotive application?  If so, is
this based on SAE J1939 or its European equivalent?  Or are you working
on DeviceNet, SDS or some other CAN-based "sensor bus"?

An developer told me that he was running into problems with Franklin's
CAN code and was getting little help from Franklin.  Are you using
Franklin's CAN library or just the compiler?
