On a UK TV programme (Tomorrow's World - an ironic title considering that
it is usually 6 months behind other science publications) last week, I saw
a report of chip sized machines and motors etc. Is anyone actually using
these to make small robots? I would be interested in how far out of the
laboratory these devices are.

Sorry that I can't give more details - the programme rarely gives much info
on who/what/where/these things come from.
