I am sorry but this is a local problem - local to you that is! Usenet is 
a distributed system. All messages are sent to each host system. Any 
(every!) host system would be swamped if all messages were kept by 
everyone. So your system manager will have arranged to purge the news 
feed regularly and probably automatically. If you wish to keep messages 
longer then you must take it up with her
