Hi all!
I'd like to build a sensor to detect distances in a range of 0 - 1000 mm
(at least) with a 1 mm resolution (at least).
In the comp.robotics FAQs I read these lines:

My questions are:
Is there anyone that actually used these sensors? How have you used them?
