Firstly, I apologise if this is in the wrong group. I
couldn't really find one on our system that I thought would
cope with a question/request such as this.

I am involved in a manufacturing company which produces
high quality spare parts for the mining industry.

We are currently looking at automating several of our
production processes and have already invested over
$1m (AUS). At the moment, after the huge commitment we have
already made, we looking at the smaller processes that
seem to take a lot of labour time to complete.

Each part that is produced has to have a part number
stamped onto it for identification. Currently, this is
done by using a mallet and several dye's to phsically
stamp the numbers onto the part.

Recently, I have received some brochures about printers which
can basically automate this "stamping" process by using
it's own single "tip" operating in a dot matrix fashion.

As the brochures are from Germany, and I don't know
German, I was wondering if anyone can supply me with any
information regarding this technology. I have seen
brochures for other devices including laser technology so
any information in this area would also be of benefit to me.

Does anyone know of an Australian Distributor for this
	equipment???

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou......
