We have built an experimental robot arm with Megatorque motors from NSK. They are able to produce high torque without overheating the motor. The motor comes with a drive unit which includes position and torque control. As far as I know, there are 5 sizes available: 10Nm, 40Nm, 90Nm, 150Nm and 250Nm.
I am doing dynamics with this robot, and I have very good experience with this motors. Hope this helps...
Martin.
