You bet we are! The collection of correspondences/postings that moved
through here a few days ago (we're suffering a bit of a news delay) was
even reasonably up-to-date, covering the San Francisco Museum of Modern
Art groundbreaking performance in April '92. Since then, we did a
performance in France (Aug 28th, bad news, many failures, show cut short)
and one at the end of October in Graz, Austria (very good, incredible
site, outstanding local support).

Tentative plans for '93 include a possible performance in Oakland, which
would be the first full-blown Bay-area show since the notorious,
of-great-interest-to-law-enforcement-officials, under the freeway
performance of spring '89 in San Francisco. There may also be an installation
later in the summer in New York.

These last events have been deprived of the benefit of follow-up postings
by Raymond Drewry (now of gain.com) because we, sadly, were deprived of
Raymond's assistance on these last two shows, due to uncontrollable
circumstance. All of us at SRL look forward to his return for the next
ones.

As always, SRL is looking for volunteers, the demand for which is great
beginning a couple of months prior to a performance. Skilled as well as
unskilled help is welcome.

In the "documentary media" front, the previous posting contained ample
address/price/title information; recently Def American has reissued
"The Will to Provoke", the tape which resulted from SRL's first European
tour in 1988. Included is the Copenhagen performance, which, I think,
still rates as one of the best ever. They're issuing tape and laser
disk (!). I believe they'll be putting out the tape of Artspace/SF '89/
Seattle '90 as well. Look for their full-page ads in Option magazine.

People involved with SRL tend to keep an eye on alt.cyberpunk (yeah, I
know...), comp.robotics, and alt.music.industrial for information
requests. If there are other groups we should watch, please let me
know. If I can get the bugs out of my sendmail configuration, get
news caught up, and finish installing CNews on my system, I plan to
start a mailing list. Stay tuned.
