I am presently working on a project to transfer control of a PUMA 560
robot from its Unimate controller to a real time, multitasking parallel
programming environment called CHIMERA II which was developed at CMU.

The Puma controller comes with an LSI-11 computer and VAL II software. I
am having problems finding a way to bypass VAL II so that I can gain
direct access to the LSI-11. I understand this type of project has
been done in other universities, can anyone point me in the
right direction?
