  Yes, someone did ask.  And the signal to noise ratio of the response
was rather low.  I was interested in seeing more technical
information.  Evidentially this is considered proprietary, and leaves
his posts with a flavor of a Home Shopping Network spot.  That's too
bad, because I suspect that if people were really impressed with the
way the thing operated, they would be more likely to buy the kit/item.
As for those who want to 'roll-their-own', they aren't going to buy
anyway, so posting more technical info., even if they did copy it, is
a moot point.
