I am posting this for a colleague of mine who has no Usenet access.

He has borrowed a PUMA 562 with a Val II controller for use in his
lab for the purposes of grinding and polishing lenses, and is looking
for other users.

In particular he would like to know if anyone has interfaced a host
computer such as a MicroVax or IBM compatible to the Val controller.
Please bear in mind that his field of expertise is optics, and is
looking for a solution that requires little or no additional hardware.
