There was a thread on this subject in sci.electronics a little
while ago. I have tried most of the techniques described. Most
of them used laser printer output. They print on transparency
film, special release paper, or ordinary paper. Another technique
that I have not tried is direct plotting on PC board. I don't
have a suitable plotter.

I have pretty good luck using ordinary paper on boards
up to 2" by 4.5". I have not attempted any larger boards.
The transparency film and release paper both mush narrow traces
into one and another. On widely spaced traces they work OK.

If you want more information, let me know.
