This is a forwarding of a letter I got back from MIT regarding FTP sites and
info.

If you are interested in receiving a list of our Publications
Bibliography, you may do the following:

	ftp ftp.ai.mit.edu

	Name: anonymous

	Password: login name

	ftp> cd pub/publications

	ftp> ls

you will then see:

	README
	ascii (text-only)
	ps-files

It is recommended that you read the README file first. This file will
tell you what publications are available electronically at the MIT AI
Lab as well as explaining the two different publications' directories.

	ftp> get README

	ftp> cd ps-files

you will then see:

	ai3
	frontier.ps
	labsummary92.ps
	update1992.ps
	bibliography.ps.Z

	ftp> get file name

message should state: PORT command successful. Transfer complete.

	ftp> quit

don't forget to quit.

files ending with .Z are compressed files. If you're not sure how
to deal with that, it's just a matter of typing `uncompress' and the
file name (space in between) to get it into a readable format.

Please note: when using ftp to obtain "compressed" files (any file that ends
with a .Z) or any kind of binary, the user must type

             ftp> binary

"binary" at the ftp prompt before doing the transfer.

If you prefer to receive a hard copy version, please email your postal
address to the Publications Office. Thank you.

Happy FTP-ing!
