The OOPSLA Conference Committee and ACM SIGPLAN is sponsoring a workshop
on "Applied Object
Technology and the Finance Industry" on June 16-17, 1997,  in Port
Jefferson, Long Island, New York. 

The Finance Industry Workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss the
current issues and future 
direction of the application of object technology to financial systems.
The workshop will provide a forum
for experienced/knowledgeable participants to share their experiences
and learn from experiences of
others working with financial systems. The objective of the workshop is
for the participants to identify the
critical challenges to development of object oriented financial systems,
propose solutions, and share their
experiences (issues, challenges, solutions, etc.) and visions of the
future of objects and financial systems. 

The deadline for submissions is next week.
