Well, I didnt do an exhaustive search but in about 3 minutes I found:

Second, your source of information isn't very good. PP-D has not sold
off any of its products (or the rights to any of them). Whether it
ever
chooses to do so in the future is its business. Since PP-D is still
making $30-40 million a year off of its Smalltalk business, I imagine
the likelihood of it selling off "all ST based products" is absurdly
low.

I can guaranty you with absolute certainty that PP-D does not plan to
discontinue Smalltalk (it represents a $30-40 million a year business
for the company). For the record, I should point out that PP-D has had
a
Java product on the market for several months now already. Given the
current excitement around the Java language and PP-D's technology
expertise, it would be crazy for the company not to explore additional
Java language opportunities.

The right thing to have said was, as you mentioned, "I'm not at
liberty to say, etc" not a lot of bluster implying the opposite of
what is occuring at the exact moments that it is occuring!

One is being truthful and the other is shading/distorting the truth to
various degrees; also FWIW, what I said was:
"I hope, given the dishonesty displayed by PP-D over the years, "
I said PP-D, not Eric, and I think thats a fair (if somewhat
unpleasant) assessment...

Wish it weren't!

PS If their history over the past 5 years isn't a trail of broken
promises, what is it? A success story?
