This reminds me of one unanswered question: I'd like to have a global
FastConnector (i.e. connection throug object ids) that is connected when
I log in the first session. I could then have several logged-in sessions
sharing the same objects.

This would be rather handy for things like Route 1 or VisualWave where I
have several application threads accessing a GemStone server.
