Hi,

Smalkltalk/X from eXept Software AG includes an "stc" compiler. This
compiles Smalltalk code to C code. Smalltalk/X also allows the insertion
of C code in-line in Smalltalk methods. This system has been around
a number of years and I know of companies in Europe using it in a
real time production automation environment.
