Agreed, but his prose is so lyrical that I can't stop myself. I wish
that the computer literature were as fun to read for the prose's own
sake as the philosophy and architecture literature. 

I had no idea that this thread had spread across all these newsgroups.
Perhaps there is a use for philosophy after all.
