I don't know what vendor/platform you're using, but if you're using Digitalk
Visual Smalltalk, we make a programmer's editor called 'edIt' that does 
automatic formatting for you (along with many, many other things).  It 
includes a few formatting styles that are pretty well used in the ST
community, as well as our style, which actually is a hybrid between 
Smalltalk and C programming styles.
