ALC (Ascent Logic Corporation) is a leader in the production of Computer Aided System Engineering software tools.  Its family of products, headed by RDD (Requirements Driven Designer), is one of the world's largest pure Smalltalk applications.

The primary function of the position is design and implementation of features in RDD using VisualWorks 2.0.

Duties include:

	* Participation in design of database information model.
	* Design and implentation of applications using a design store.
	* Design and implementation of enhancements and changes to RDD-100.  Because of RDD's
		size, there is a wide variety of projects from which to choose.
	* Development and implementation of unit test plans in conjunction with program development.
	* Development of GUIs.
	* Preparation of technical documentation.
	* Preparation of preliminary user documentation.

Qualifications:

	* Senior position:  At least 24 months of industry Smalltalk-80 (ParcPlace) programming experience.
	* Junior position:  At least 12 months of industry Smalltalk-80 (ParcPlace) programming experience.
	* Motivated, with desire to work on leading-edge software using leading-edge technologies.
	* Knowledge of information modeling and design.
	* Requirements specification skills helpful.
	* Oral and written communications skills a plus.
	* At least a B.S. in computer science or math.
