This is flame bait if I have ever seen it.

Ada's concurrency "today" is substantially different from what was
proposed by the original design team.  Furthermore, it is usually
a bit unwise to ask members of an original design team their opinion
of a revision to their design, and expect to get complete objectivity
(especially if they were not involved in the revision to their "baby").

I wonder what Backus would think of Fortran 90 ;-)?

In any case, you might want to ask John Barnes, who was involved in both 
design teams, to comment on Ada 95.  He probably has the best historical
perspective.  He wrote good chunks of the Rationale for both
editions of Ada.  The Ada 95 rationale can be found on 
sw-eng.falls-church.va.us in public/adaic/docs/standard/9Xlrm_rat/...
(the Ada 83 rationale is there somewhere as well).

Even better, give Ada 95 a try.  A free Ada 95 compiler is available
on cs.nyu.edu in pub/gnat.
