Give SmalltalkAgents from Quasar Knowledge Systems a look.  It seems to
be the best Smalltalk available on the Mac right now and provides
complete access to the Mac Toolbox allowing you to get as lowlevel as
you like.  They also have a goal of replacing Hypercard.  Might be your
best bet.
