"we would probably be better off if I went and learn Visual Basic"
Oh I'm hurt, geez the the pain, NOT!

Get a life, my messages have have spawned interesting messages. Also when
you get out of school you'll find out you don't always work with your
favorite languages and tools. You have to keep up with "Bleeding Edge" of
technology and try not to waste cycles on tools that are going out of
style in a year or so. It's called paying the bills.

: You obviously didn't read my message. None of the things I mentioned
: were development tools for Smalltalk (almost all software is development

: Smalltalk is worth learning. But lots of things are worth learning,
: and life is too short to learn them all. The question you are
: really asking is whether *you* should learn Smalltalk, and I have no idea.
: Considering your attitude, we would probably be better off if you went
: and learned Visual Basic.
