Way back at alpha0, Steve asked not to publish the site. Thefore 1.2
was called 'infamous'. Since the can of worms is open now, I would
like to ask you NOT to send private mail to him. I rather have him
working on alpha3 than responding to mail. In case you want to ALPHA
test and find any bugs, join the mailing list and report them there.

I agree. Write to the FSF (gnu@prep.ai.mit.edu) and tell them that
they should put more support into the GNU-Smalltalk development. I
guess that if Steve wouldn't have to work on other projects to make a
living, 1.2 would already be out for some time.

BTW: There is an experimental GUI under X-Windows for 1.2alpha0, which
looks like the original ST-80 stuff. Once 1.2 is released, it will
probably follow soon.
