But it appears all the increased interest/use in Smalltalk is as a 
prototype tool or scripting language for "Visual" development 
environments. 

Can someone tell me where Smalltalk is being  used for other than 
in-house development, Smalltalk add-ons, or a scripting language for 
"visual" development tools?
